The truth about Shabu (Methamphetamine), uhmm... Yes the awful one!

"The addiction rate is higher.
The drug is easier to get than coke or heroin.
The debilitating effects are permanent.
The relapse is higher than any other drug."

mmmm.. yummy huh?

Do you know what is the greatest menace in Philippine society
today? No, it is not AIDS or the related HIV infection. Nor is it
premarital sex or graft and corruption. It is addiction to shabu,
specifically, to methamphetamine hydrochloride.

Methampethamine hydrochloride is known in the Philippines as
shabu. In other countries, it is known as cristy, zip, go-fast,
chalk, crank, speed, or meth. The smokable form of the drug, which
is pure methampethamine hydrochloride, is also dubbed L.A. or
(in reference to the clear, chunky crystals that look like frozen
water) quartz, 64 glass, crystal or ice.

Just what is shabu anyway? It is a strong central nervous system
stimulant that is easily manufactured in underground laboratories
using cheap, over-the-counter ingredients. It is a white powder
that tastes bitter yet lacks an odor. It can be dissolved in
alcohol or water with ease.

It is so easy to make - the main ingredient used in making shabu is amphetamine, which can be found in bronchial inhalers and nasal decongestants. It is now easier to produce methamphetamine using precursor substances due mainly to the proliferation of recipes and data about production on the Internet.
