The truth about Shabu (Methamphetamine), uhmm... Yes the awful one!
The drug is easier to get than coke or heroin.
The debilitating effects are permanent.
The relapse is higher than any other drug."
Do you know what is the greatest menace in Philippine society
today? No, it is not AIDS or the related HIV infection. Nor is it
premarital sex or graft and corruption. It is addiction to shabu,
specifically, to methamphetamine hydrochloride.
Methampethamine hydrochloride is known in the Philippines as
shabu. In other countries, it is known as cristy, zip, go-fast,
chalk, crank, speed, or meth. The smokable form of the drug, which
is pure methampethamine hydrochloride, is also dubbed L.A. or
(in reference to the clear, chunky crystals that look like frozen
water) quartz, 64 glass, crystal or ice.
Just what is shabu anyway? It is a strong central nervous system
stimulant that is easily manufactured in underground laboratories
using cheap, over-the-counter ingredients. It is a white powder
that tastes bitter yet lacks an odor. It can be dissolved in
alcohol or water with ease.
It is so easy to make - the main ingredient used in making shabu is amphetamine, which can be found in bronchial inhalers and nasal decongestants. It is now easier to produce methamphetamine using precursor substances due mainly to the proliferation of recipes and data about production on the Internet.

PDEA: Alabang Boys are top-level drug traders
These rich kids will still be "rich kids" even if they don't deal drugs, because their parents are "rich" people. So what's the deal with them now? This was posted last new years eve, i just thought it's a good topic to for this newly open blog.
The so-called "Alabang Boys," three rich kids nabbed for alleged possession of drugs, are top-level drug peddlers, the chief of the country’s anti-drug agency said Wednesday.
Ret. Gen. Dionisio Santiago, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) chief, told ABS-CBN News Channel that the "Alabang Boys" -- Richard Santos Brodett, Jorge Jordana Joseph and Joseph Ramirez Tecson -- were involved in a group that has an international network.
"This is a big group, and they use the Internet to get drugs from America," Santiago said, adding that the information came directly from the three boys during interrogation.
He said the group of the three boys supplies Ecstasy pills, a deadly rave drug, to Baguio City. He added that the three are on the second innermost layer of a big syndicate.
The PDEA chief said the Department of Justice's (DOJ) resolution dismissing the drug charges filed against the three may prevent the agency from discovering a bigger drug syndicate.
"This operation may lead to a bigger one. They have an international network.. They (Alabang Boys) are second in line. It's hard to penetrate the second line," Santiago said.
The three boys were arrested by PDEA agents in separate operations in Ayala Alabang in Muntinlupa City and Cubao, Quezon City last September 20.
Seized from there were 60 Ecstasy tablets, 11 sachets of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, including a marijuana grinder and weighing scales.
Santiago also belied a claim by one of the suspects' lawyer that the case should not be treated as a big one because the three boys are only drug users.
"If this is small, I don't know what is big," Santiago said.
